How to Configure Monthly Data Limits
Overview
DU Meter can track your monthly data usage against a limit and warn you when approaching or exceeding it.
Setting Up Monthly Limits
- Right-click the DU Meter icon → select User Options
- Select "Stopwatch and Limits" from the categories on the left
- Enable "Monthly transfer limit"
- Enter your monthly data cap (e.g., 100 GB)
- Set the billing cycle start date (the day your ISP resets your data allowance)
- Configure warning thresholds (e.g., warn at 80%, 90%)
- Click OK
Viewing Usage
- The monthly usage is displayed in the DU Meter Reports window
- Right-click the DU Meter icon → select Reports to view detailed statistics
Notifications
DU Meter can notify you when: - You reach a warning threshold - You exceed your monthly limit
Configure notification preferences in User Options → Notifications.
