How to Configure Monthly Data Limits

Overview

DU Meter can track your monthly data usage against a limit and warn you when approaching or exceeding it.

Setting Up Monthly Limits

  1. Right-click the DU Meter icon → select User Options
  2. Select "Stopwatch and Limits" from the categories on the left
  3. Enable "Monthly transfer limit"
  4. Enter your monthly data cap (e.g., 100 GB)
  5. Set the billing cycle start date (the day your ISP resets your data allowance)
  6. Configure warning thresholds (e.g., warn at 80%, 90%)
  7. Click OK

Viewing Usage

  • The monthly usage is displayed in the DU Meter Reports window
  • Right-click the DU Meter icon → select Reports to view detailed statistics

Notifications

DU Meter can notify you when: - You reach a warning threshold - You exceed your monthly limit

Configure notification preferences in User Options → Notifications.
