Data transfer costs calculations explained

Overview

DU Meter supports calculation of monthly data transfer costs if your provider bills you per megabyte or gigabyte. This feature is configured in DU Meter Options.

Changing Cost Settings Mid-Month

What happens if I update per-megabyte traffic cost or weekday/weekend pattern in the middle of the month?

The change will apply to future traffic only. It will not be applied retrospectively to old data. If your provider changes their rates, please update DU Meter configuration when the actual rate change becomes effective.

Changing Free Allowance Mid-Month

What happens if I change the "Free Allowance" amount in the middle of the month?

A new free allowance with the amount you just entered will be created for the current month, in addition to whatever free allowance bytes were used previously.
