VPN Traffic Not Being Monitored
Symptom
DU Meter doesn't show traffic when connected to a VPN, or shows incorrect/partial traffic data.
Cause
VPN software creates virtual network adapters. DU Meter needs to monitor the correct adapter to capture VPN traffic.
Solution
Step 1: Identify the VPN Adapter
- Connect to your VPN
- Press Win+R, type
ncpa.cpland press Enter - Look for the adapter that appeared or changed status when you connected
Step 2: Configure DU Meter
- Right-click the DU Meter icon → select User Options
- Select Network Interface from the categories on the left
- Select "All network interfaces combined" to monitor all traffic
- Alternatively, select your specific VPN adapter
- Click OK
Note About Split Tunneling
If your VPN uses split tunneling (some traffic goes through VPN, some doesn't), you may need to monitor "All network interfaces combined" to capture everything.
