Is DU Meter 32-bit or 64-bit application?

Overview

DU Meter is a hybrid application that includes both 32-bit and 64-bit components. This design provides optimal compatibility and performance on modern Windows systems.

Why Both 32-bit and 64-bit?

This hybrid approach allows DU Meter to:

  • Benefit from reduced memory consumption of 32-bit components
  • Maintain full compatibility with 64-bit Windows
  • Integrate properly with 64-bit Explorer and system components

Installation Location

DU Meter installs to C:\Program Files (x86)\DU Meter by default. This folder contains both 32-bit and 64-bit files (such as DuMonitor64.dll and DUmetr64.sys).

The "(x86)" installation folder is simply a convention for applications with 32-bit components. DU Meter is fully tested and 100% compatible with all 64-bit versions of Windows.
