Symptom

DU Meter crashes when run for the first time after an upgrade from a previous major version.

Cause

Some components were not updated properly during the upgrade, typically because a reboot was required but not performed.

Solution

1. Reboot your computer - If the DU Meter installer asked you to reboot, do so before trying to run DU Meter

2. Reinstall DU Meter - If DU Meter does not run properly even after restarting:

   • Download a fresh copy from hageltech.com/dumeter/download
   • Run the installer - do not uninstall first
   • This overwrites the existing installation and fixes component mismatches

These steps solve virtually all issues related to incomplete installation of DU Meter. If your DU Meter copy still won't function properly, please contact support.
